Shun Loong Securities Company Limited (“Shun Loong Securities”) was founded in 1995. Currently, it is a sister company of Capital Focus Asset Management Limited (“Capital Focus”).

Shun Loong Securities is registered with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited as an exchange participant (Participant ID: B01568) and licensed with the Securities and Futures Commission (CE Number: ACZ309) for Type 1 regulated activities – Dealing in Securities. The services that Shun Loong Securities provides for its clients include securities brokerage, underwriting, placement and IPO subscription.

Shun Loong Securities used to be a subsidiary of Shun Loong Financial Group which was established in 1946. Shun Loong Financial Group was a founding member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Hong Kong Futures Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. With its long history, Shun Loong Securities is deemed as one of the most experienced and established financial services companies in Hong Kong.

During the 1980s, Shun Loong Securities has been a business partner of Bear Sterns, a globally renowned investment bank. In 1997, Shun Loong Securities was working with the Hong Kong government in taking an active role in dealing with the Asian Financial Crisis. It was one of the “privileged brokerage houses” that helped the government to accumulate large positions in local blue-chip stocks when facing the threat of a stock market meltdown. In 2001, Shun Loong Securities merged with two subsidiaries of the Grand Finance Group. And in 2003, the merged entity has come under the management of Sun Hung Kai Financial Group, a listed company in Hong Kong.

In 2017, Sun Hung Kai Financial Group and the parent company of Capital Focus have reached an agreement. Shun Loong Securities was successfully acquired and became a sister company of Capital Focus. Shun Loong Securities has undergone restructuring but retained its original company name to reflect its heritage and extend its legendary history. Together with Capital Focus, Shun Loong Securities continues to thrive and offer diversified financial services to its clients.
